I swear every mom has "one of those days". You know the kind when it is only 10:00 AM and you know it's going to be a long day. I had "one of those days" the other day. This spilled cereal was like the third or fourth thing that sent me rolling my eyes and wishing it was almost 5:30 PM so Tyler could be in charge.
Well worse came a few days later in the form of omelets. I turned around to carry two plates of eggs for the girls to the kitchen table at the same time Elsie bent down and then jumped up hitting her head into my hands. Two plates, two cut up omelets and two forks when tumbling to the ground. Almost six years and two kids later I now have my first broken dishes. Surprising Tyler when I retold him the story, I calmly bent down and started picking up broken plate pieces. All was lost, the eggs weren't even salvageable. Elsie apologized telling me over and over it was an accident and she didn't mean to. I thought of my friend Autumn's post when she needed to decide if she loved her son more than her t.v. and decided that I would not get upset, I acknowledged Elsie's accident and made another omelet.
