Creativity...Not all it's cracked up to be

So here is my plant that my mom worked so hard to keep alive the last several months. I was going to re-pot the plant perhaps with the assistance of Elsie but she decided to do it herself while I was putting Addie to bed. What a helper...thanks Els. (At least she put a dress and boots on and a bow in her hair for the project.)

So I'm not all that sold on the creativity aspect of kids. She told us she couldn't find any paper and she needed to draw a picture.

Here comes the bride!

Dani and Nate are engaged!  They stopped by late Sunday night to tell us the good news and show us Dani's pretty ring.  They are getting married May 20th.  

We need suggestions

Okay we still need to paint the hardi-trim and hardi-shakes but we don't know what color. If anyone has suggestions please pass them along.

It was a super windy day so Elsie made us all wear hats on our walk to check the mail. Because we live in a circle, our mailboxes are around the corner on the street. It's actually kind of fun to get out and take a stroll (even though I was cursing the idea before we moved in). Here is a little taste of the kitchen. We still are missing a few things (like drawer pulls) so more pics to come.

Our armour needs some doctoring...part of the top molding was broken during the move. No worries, Tyler made this piece so he can fix it.

This is Elsie's big girl bed, but the other night we found her on the floor. Elsie and Addie's rooms are still a work in progress.

Girls brushing their teeth...this is actually Addie's first time brushing her whoppin' 2 bottom teeth.

I made this clip holder for the girl's bath...I'm a little proud because I think it turned out super cute.


The clip holder is being used as the window treatment until the shutters come.

This is for all my family members who give me a hard time for not making my bed. Bruce told me once not to worry about getting nice pillows and blankets because no one ever sees them...just get some fancy sheets.

Grace Ella Davis

We are excited to have our first and only (so far) niece/girl cousin join our family.  Clark and Kara had Grace February 22nd.  

Valentine's Day (belated)

Here is Addie

Here is Elsie the exact same age (well 10 days younger) in 2007. I even put on the same headband (which Elsie's cheeks just pull off a tiny bit better). Cute Valentine's Day girls!
